I am - on medical advice - following a no-carb diet. So, no bread, pasta, potatoes or sugar. Lots of meat, fish, cheese, eggs and vegetables. Lashings of olive oil.
I've just been to my local Co-Op. It occurs to me that if one was to remove from its shelves all the carbohydrate and sugar laden foods, there would be little left. The range of fresh food on sale is actually quite pathetic. If you want to buy fish then there's only farmed salmon. If you want meat there's a limited range of steaks, mince, chicken and pork-chops. I fancied some lamb, though.... hippe styled items to wear if in a wedding
But there a lot of biscuits, and breakfast cereals. Loads of bread, shelves full of sweets.
