So had my first injury scare as a distance runner - had some chronic ankle pain after running my first 50k that didn't really go away, and it flared up with a vengeance after a marathon a couple of weeks ago. Doctor thought it might be a stress fracture or rupture, but MRI gave me some good news - just tendonosis of the anterior tibialis. short mini length wear in red
Of course the bad news is that there's no real treatment other than rest - anyone else had this diagnosis? If so, care to share training ideas or other stretching/exercises that helps you get back to being able to run distances. Going to focus more on triathlons for now, but will be sad if I've run my last marathon.
